    Description

Southern Pacific Prairie Mountain Wildflowers Morrison tea cup and saucer. Of the many china patterns used by America's railroads, Southern Pacific's "Prairie Mountain Wildflowers" pattern or "PMWF" is one of the most popular among collectors. The pattern features a white base color with multicolored flowers in shades of red, yellow, green and blue. Southern Pacific used this as the common coffee cup with the common Econo/Rim saucer. The Morrison tea cup is on the official order forms from Syracuse china and is a trade name for the shape and size. This style was first used after 2/24/38. The pattern is number 85701 and it was sold through Dohrmann Commercial Co. San Francisco. On the bottom is written “Made expressly for Southern Pacific Lines Dining Car Service By Onondaga Pottery Co. Syracuse New York Design Copyrighted.” Both are in very good shape with only the usual wear marks. If it doesn't meet your expectations, return for a full refund, less shipping.
