Description
Sloan (Katy, Missouri-Kansas-Texas) or Santa Rosa (Frisco, St. Louis-San Francisco) bouillon cup and saucer by Syracuse. Each railroad apparently had its own name for the same Syracuse pattern. This was the pattern used in the all Pullman-built streamlined Texas Special introduced in 1947. The train ran from St. Louis to San Antonio and was one of the favorites of the Southwest. The Katy half was from Vinita, Oklahoma south and the Frisco was from Vinita north. The cup is 3 3/4” in diameter and 2 1/4” deep, the saucer is 5 3/4” in diameter. Both are in very good condition and backstamped with the Syracuse mark. If it doesn't meet your expectations, return for a full refund, less shipping.
