LARGE ANTIQUE JAPANESE TAISHO PERIOD
MORIAGE SATSUMA EARTHENWARE
‘DRAGON’ VASE
You are being offered a Hand Painted Antique Japanese Moriage Satsuma Earthenware Vase with a Cream Color Crackle Glaze, a Scalloped Rim and Two Handles and it is decorated with a Large Red Dragon and Multi-Color Clouds on a Light-Green Ground decorated with Green and White Enamel Trailing. The Vase isn’t signed and it doesn’t have any identifying marks; but we are fairly certain it was made during the Taisho Period (1912-1926). The Vase stands a little over 15½ inches high and it measures a little over 7 inches in diameter. Along with wear consistent with its age, there is a chip on its Rim and its Handles are repaired; otherwise, the Vase is in Very Good Condition, without any other issues. Please refer to the photographs on the left for further details.
