    Description

    Offered here is a beautiful Baltimore & Ohio Capitol pattern salad or dessert compote.  This particular item came to us from a collector that was given free run of the B&O dining car commissary at Camden Yards to choose the nicest examples he could find (back in the 1960's).  It does show minor signs of use (mostly to the inner gold ring), but for this pattern (with it's overglaze gold), it is exceptional.  This is a great opportunity to pick up a harder-to-find item in great condition.
    It is backstamped for Shenango, coded for 1957.
